Automotive Service Technician Job

Required – Automotive Service Technician_NOC 72410

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, which could include oil change, tire rotation, battery installations, headlight and taillight installations, transmission work/flushes.
• Conducting necessary repairs and testing vehicles before handing them back to customers
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Conducting diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues
• Make effective and accurate recommendations
• Inform customers about completed work and recommend future repairs
• Consult with supervisor regarding tasks and progress
• Evaluate and process work orders
• Test and adjust units to specifications
• Document problems and work performed through reports
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
• Test automotive systems and components

Education and experience
• Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate would be required.
• 2-3 years of experience in the related industry would be an asset.

Certificates requirement:
Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
