JOB DESCRIPTION
• Perform work as assigned on work order with efficiency, safety and accuracy in accordance with dealership, factory and regulatory standards
• Ability to diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repairs in a timely manner
• Perform road tests
• Perform scheduled maintenance services
• Providing written, prioritized quotations for necessary additional work
• Notify the service advisor and customer of additional maintenance work as required
• Perform daily bay inspections
• Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of all makes and models
• Follow health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health& safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately

SKILLS
• Mechanical background/knowledge
• Valid driver’s license
• Provide Clean Drivers Abstract upon request
• Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program
• Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in automotive technology required
• Trade certification for automotive service technicians
