Automotive Service Technician - NOC 72410 Job

With the latest diagnostic technology, we guarantee proper vehicle maintenance and repair. We are currently looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our team.

Position: Automotive Service Technician
Work Hours: 32 hours per week
Wage: $38.50/hour (overtime after 40 hours of work per week)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Benefits: 10 days’ Vacation pay and including extended medical benefits and dental insurance
Work Location: 11987 Old Yale Road, Surrey, BC, V3V 3X4

Key duties and Responsibilities
• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards
• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received
• Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
• Other tasks as assigned
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
• Discuss with Supervisor work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.

Requirements/Education and other requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Several years of experience within the trade required, including Mechanic and Autobody Repairer experience a plus.
• High initiative and high energy
• Strong organization and time management skills
