About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Automotive service technician apprentice to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while developing your technical skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior technicians with inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing motor vehicles.
• Help perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake servicing.
• Support in testing vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, and safety) to identify and address issues.
• Aid in installing, replacing, or repairing parts and components related to engines, transmissions, steering, and suspension systems.
• Help ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed to quality and safety standards.
• Assist with documenting repair findings, completed work, and parts used.
• Work collaboratively with team members to keep the shop organized, safe, and efficient.
• Learn and follow the company’s diagnostic procedures and manufacturer guidelines under supervision.
Requirements:
• Secondary education diploma is required
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience assisting with automotive repair or maintenance in a shop, dealership, or similar mechanical environment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• A strong desire to learn.
Compensation and conditions:
• Full-time, permanent position consisting of at least 35 weekly work hours
• The remuneration will be set at CAD$36.00 per hour
• Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
• Primary business location: 2899 Steeles Ave W, North York, ON M3J 3A1.
