Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Review work orders and consult with the supervising technician to confirm assigned repair and maintenance tasks
• Assist in inspecting vehicles and components to identify mechanical or system issues under supervision
• Assist in adjusting, repairing, or replacing automotive components in systems such as brakes, steering, suspension, engine, drivetrain, exhaust, cooling, electrical, and electronic systems
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, inspections, and tune-ups in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Assist in testing repaired or serviced systems to verify proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Use hand tools and basic diagnostic or testing equipment as directed by a licensed technician
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and orderly condition
• Assist licensed automotive service technicians and perform other related duties as directed

Education
Completion of secondary high school and training courses or a vocational program is required.

Experience
2 years of relevant experience

Certification / Registration
The successful candidate must be eligible to register as an apprentice with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship
Agency in the Automotive Service Technician.

Steel-toed safety boots

Work Site Environment
Noisy; odours; at heights when vehicles are on hoists; dusty
