Automotive mechanic helper Job

Job Duties:

• Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas
• Hold stakes during surveying activities
• Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
• Assist in main automotive services (checking, replacing, repairing): brakes, coolant systems, air conditioning, exhaust systems, powertrain, computer/electrical, transmission/clutches, drivetrain, fluid changes, tires, battery, wheel alignments…

Experience in Area:
• Diesel engines
• Tires, brake, wheel alignments
• Fuel and emission system
• Exhaust system
• Battery system
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system

Physical demands
• Handling material manually

Work environment
• Hazardous conditions
• Sound and noise
• Standard safety equipment
