Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Feature Systems Engineer with a strong background in Automotive Systems Engineering and experience supporting the development of new vehicle features. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional teams, requirements management, feature development, and automotive functional domains.

Key Responsibilities
Create, update, maintain, and track CFOs (Customer Feature Objectives) throughout the feature development lifecycle.
Analyze CFOs to ensure alignment with project objectives, requirements, quality standards, and engineering processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and implement best practices and global strategies for new vehicle features.
Support platform-level new feature development and program-specific feature development.
Coordinate with Software, Hardware, Systems, and other engineering teams to support feature implementation.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and participate in Voice of Customer (VOC) clinics to support feature development and product improvement.
Support requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, and validation activities.
Interpret applicable automotive regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Analyze system-level problems from Software, Hardware, and Field perspectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university.
3–5 years of automotive engineering experience.
Strong Automotive Systems Engineering background.
Experience with Systems Engineering processes and requirements development.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety concepts.
Knowledge of INCOSE requirements decomposition and systems engineering practices.
Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and automotive industry standards.
Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering.
Experience with IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM requirements management tools.
Hands-on Systems Engineering experience in the automotive industry.
Experience creating or interpreting system network topology diagrams.
Experience with requirements management, traceability, and system-level analysis.
Ability to troubleshoot and understand problems across Software, Hardware, and Field environments.
Knowledge of one or more automotive functional domains, such as:
Electrical
Chassis
Body
Interior
Vehicle Systems
Mandatory Skills
