Job Description:
Assess clients’ insurance needs and recommend suitable automobile, property, health, and other personal insurance products, ensuring full compliance with provincial licensing requirements.

Explain available insurance plans in detail, including coverage limits, optional endorsements, exclusions, premium structures, benefits, and policy features, to help clients make informed decisions.

Establish and configure insurance coverage for new and existing clients by accurately calculating premiums, determining appropriate payment schedules, and confirming eligibility based on underwriting guidelines.

Review new and renewal applications to evaluate potential risks, verify client information, and confirm that coverage terms, premiums, and policy conditions meet both company standards and regulatory requirements.

Ensure all mandatory documents—such as application forms, identification, declarations, medical examinations (if applicable), and policy-specific requirements—are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Maintain updated and accurate client records, including policy changes, communications, claims updates, and payment information, in accordance with company procedures and privacy regulations.

Assist clients with insurance claims by monitoring claim status, coordinating with adjusters when necessary, and responding promptly to questions related to coverage, timelines, and claim outcomes.

Build and maintain a personal portfolio of clients through proactive relationship management, high-quality service delivery, and ongoing follow-ups to support retention and renewal targets.

Identify, approach, and solicit prospective clients through referrals, outreach initiatives, and onsite/offsite consultations, promoting the company’s automobile and general insurance products.

Provide mobile advisory services (as required by the role), traveling to client locations to deliver personalized consultations, gather documentation, and finalize insurance transactions while maintaining a clean driving record.

Participate in regular performance and sales reviews with management to ensure that revenue performance meets company expectations, including maintaining an appropriate revenue-to-compensation ratio.

Act on feedback, training recommendations, and coaching sessions to continuously improve sales performance, product knowledge, and service quality, adapting to evolving business needs and industry trends.

Maintain a valid Level 2 General Insurance License in good standing and ensure all activities adhere to B.C. insurance regulations, company policies, and professional standards.
