Responsibilities:
Tasks
1. Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
2. Discuss work with supervisor
3. Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
4. Review work orders
5. Road test motor vehicles
6. Test automotive systems and components
7. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
8. Repair or replace mechanical units or components
9. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
10. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
11. Perform scheduled maintenance service
12. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
13. Complete reports to record problems and work performed
