Job Description:
JOB DUTIES

Review work orders and vehicle damage assessments
Repair and replace damaged vehicle body panels and components
Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs
Straighten bent frames using frame alignment and measuring systems
Remove dents, buckles and other defects using appropriate repair methods
Perform MIG welding, spot welding and related repair procedures
Repair, fit and align replacement parts and panels
Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing operations
Conduct quality-control inspections to ensure repairs meet manufacturer and company standards
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
Work collaboratively with estimators, painters and production staff
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS

Secondary school completion
Minimum 5 years of experience performing automotive collision and body repairs in a commercial collision repair environment
Demonstrated experience performing structural and non-structural repairs
Experience with frame straightening and measuring equipment
Experience with welding techniques commonly used in collision repair
Strong understanding of repair procedures, quality standards and workplace safety

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Preference may be given to candidates possessing one or more of the following:

Registered apprenticeship training in Automotive Body Repair
Automotive Body Repair trade certification
I-CAR training or equivalent collision repair certifications
OEM manufacturer repair certifications
Experience working in a high-volume collision repair facility
Experience with modern frame measuring systems and repair technologies
