Job Overiew:
Drain Mechanics is Brevard's best plumbing and septic contractor. We are currently seeking to add a skilled and dedicated ATU Septic Tech to our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience and know how to maintain and repair advanced treatment unit (ATU) septic systems.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections and monitor the performance of ATU systems. This includes checking electrical components, air pumps, and mechanical parts.
* Clean, adjust, and perform preventive maintenance on ATU components, such as diffusers and pumps, to ensure optimal system function and longevity.
* Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment within ATU systems, including electrical control panels, pumps, and alarms. * Perform diagnostic tests and collect effluent samples to measure the system's efficiency and ensure it meets FDEP requirements for nitrogen reduction.
* Address urgent issues, such as system alarms, component failures, or environmental concerns.
* Document all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and test results, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
* Communicate system findings and maintenance recommendations to customers, providing clear explanations of proper system care.
* Maintain a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

* Clean driving record, required
* FDEP Certification is a huge plus!
* Proven experience in septic system maintenance and repair is required.
* A strong working knowledge of ATU systems, including electrical controls and plumbing, is essential.
* The ability to effectively troubleshoot system issues and determine the appropriate solutions.
* Excellent verbal communication is needed to interact with customers, supervisors, and regulators.
* Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed, and work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the workday.
* Pay will be commensurate with experience.
One week of vacation after one week of employment
