Attendant for persons with disabilities - home care Job

I am looking for a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Mandarin-speaking Attendant for persons with disabilities - home care. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for caregiving and is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.

Position: Attendant for persons with disabilities - home care (NOC 44101)
Terms of Employment: Full-time (30-35 hours per week)
Hourly wage: $20-$23
Expected start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Southwest, Calgary, Alberta
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders with administration
- Accompany the client to appointments, walks, or errands
- Perform housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a clean environment
- Provide companionship, emotional support, through regular conversation and engagement
- Monitor and report any changes in client’s health, behavior, or emotional condition
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school education; College diploma or certificate in home support is an asset
- First Aid certification is required
- 7-12 months of experience in caregiving, home support
- Fluency in Mandarin is required
- No criminal record and medical issues
- Must be exceptionally patient, calm, and dependable
- Positive and caring attitude, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Physically capable of caregiving duties, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
- Comfortable preparing Asian cuisine when requested
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Weekend ability is required
