About the Role:
We are searching for an Associate to join our investment team. The primary responsibilities will include: evaluating new investment opportunities, participating in due diligence efforts, working with senior management of portfolio companies on strategic projects and value creation initiatives; monitoring portfolio company performance; and conducting related quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Duties:
• Researching and evaluating investment opportunities, including financial modeling, industry research, competitive analysis, and financial statement analysis
• Performing due diligence on potential investment opportunities assessing performance, valuation, investment merits and risks, as well as exit opportunities
• Prepare investment committee materials, briefing notes, and other written analyses to support evaluation of opportunities and portfolio company initiatives
• Provide recommendations and investment insights to senior team members based on financial, commercial, and market analysis
• Supporting the execution process of transactions and investments including due diligence and negotiation of transaction documents
• Closely monitoring and reporting on portfolio company performance and working with management teams to pursue relevant growth opportunities
• Assisting in managing external advisors (i.e. legal) as well as internal people involved in acquisitions
• Ad hoc strategic initiatives of the Company
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, accounting finance or economics is required
• 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or other relevant areas
• Strong modeling and analytical (including valuation, investment return, multiple scenarios, etc.) and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Superior analytical ability, particularly relating to industry research and business evaluation
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, balance competing priorities, and thrive in a high-performance team environment
• Ability to demonstrate potential for professional growth
• Must thrive in a high performance, growth-oriented culture with flexibility to adapt to a variable work pace
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with exposure to building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to pass a case assignment.
