Position Title: Associate Manager – Data Engineering
Location: 1900 Camden Ave., Suite 66, San Jose, CA 95124
Position Responsibilities: Manage end to end delivery by investigating problem areas, working cross-functionally with product manager and other stakeholders. Follow Agile development methodology i.e., need to think strategically and execute methodically. Develop and manage capacity and growth projection forecasts of the environment within budgets. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. Drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve quality of solutions. Manage teams that build and operate high volume distributed systems in a SaaS environment. Devise efficient processes that increase velocity and quality. Automate data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes, ensuring data quality and consistency across environments. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving data-related issues and bottlenecks. Integrate and manage data from different sources, including relational databases, data lakes, and API-based systems. Implement data governance and security policies, including data encryption, data masking, and role-based access control. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to provide data solutions for reporting and analytics. Build and maintain reporting and visualization solutions. Ensure data systems are highly available, scalable, and optimized for performance. Implement and monitor Azure cost management tools to ensure efficient resource usage. Set up continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data infrastructure.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, or related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Snowflake; Databricks; DBT; Apache Airflow; Agile Methodology; CI/CD; SQL; Python; AWS, and; Azure. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. approximately 30%, as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
