USA Rare Earth is seeking a high-potential Associate, Commercial Planning to join our CCO office. This is a deliberate development role offering direct exposure to the full mine-to-magnet value chain across Mining, LCM Metals, and Magnets — with clear pathways into commercial, finance, and operational leadership roles as we scale.
?? What You’ll Do
S&OP Execution
Support the monthly S&OP cycle across all business units
Consolidate supply/demand data into a unified reporting model
Build material balance summaries, transfer pricing analysis, and P&L views
Help prepare executive and board-level reporting
Leverage AI tools to automate modeling, reporting, and workflows
Commercial Planning
Support development of BU commercial strategies
Conduct market & competitive analysis (Fastmarkets, Argus, ADAMAS, Benchmark)
Build financial models, scenarios, and sensitivity analyses
Create sharp, executive-ready presentations
Cross-Functional Impact
Partner with supply chain, commercial, finance (FP&A), and legal teams
Track key decisions, actions, and S&OP planning outputs
Contribute to strategic initiatives tied to growth and government programs

MBA (top-tier) OR 2–4 years strategy consulting (Big 4 / top firm)
Strong financial modeling + Excel expertise
Advanced PowerPoint storytelling skills (board-level decks)
Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) as productivity accelerators
Excellent communication + structured problem solving
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to Have:
Exposure to energy, mining, or critical minerals
BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
