Gold Cap Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help launch an exciting new restaurant concept in downtown Iowa City.

This hybrid leadership role combines management responsibilities with hands-on bartending and serving shifts, making it an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals ready to take the next step in their careers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead opening, closing, and service shifts
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Organize and support restaurant teams during busy service periods
• Assign staff positions and adjust coverage as needed
• Maintain food, beverage, cleanliness, and service standards
• Resolve guest concerns professionally
• Complete cash handling and shift reporting tasks
• Coach and support team members

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant experience required
• Management or shift leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
