Assistant Project Manager: Monorail & Transportation Projects
Innova is looking for an experienced engineer ready to grow into a Project Manager Role supporting major international transportation infrastructure projects. Candidates will work as a team member on small and large tasks under the guidance of the Project Manager. The candidate will work to coordinate and elaborate project tasks between different disciplines and internal project design teams. The assistant project manager must have comprehensive experience in the structural discipline.
This role is designed to build leadership capacity through hands-on technical work, operational exposure, and structured PM development.
Required Position Capabilities:
Expert in the design of reinforced concrete elements with international design codes like EURO, AASHTO and ACI
Familiarity with various Structural analysis software such as Sofistik, SAP 2000, CSi Bridge, SP-Column, and Midas is preferred
Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team to achieve project goals and as an individual to achieve personal goals.
MSc (Preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) (Preferred).
3-7 years of experience.
What you’ll do (starting immediately):
Perform structural design and QA/QC reviews for transportation structures (precast concrete superstructures with post-tensioning, concrete substructures)
Support project delivery by preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, tracking RFIs/NCRs, and reviewing
submittals
Coordinate with multinational design teams, clients, and contractors to keep projects moving
What you’ll grow into, in addition to the above:
Monorail guideway alignment and column placement review
Alignment scheduling and submittal timeline management
Proposal support (scope, schedule, and fee input)
Budget and schedule monitoring with risk identification
Training and mentoring engineers and drafters
Project management training (change management, budgeting, scheduling, timesheet review)
Long-term trajectory:
Progression to Project Manager
Potential international project exposure and occasional travel
