Assistant Professor Job

Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL is looking for Assistant Professors. A qualified applicant will be Conducting university courses for undergraduate and graduate students in English literature, Southeast Asian literature and Southeast Asian-American literature, including courses in postcolonial literature and theory; Teaching the courses within the prescribed curriculum; Preparing and delivering lectures to students; Compiling, administering and grading examinations; Posting grades, course syllabi, and other materials; Advising students on academic curricula; Serving on faculty committees as assigned by the University; and Completing and publishing research in the English, Southeast Asian and Southeast Asian-American literature fields. Requirements: Doctorate Degree (PhD) or foreign degree equivalent in English. Special Requirements: Pre-employment background check and verification of eligibility to work in US required. Salary: $70,000 to $80,000/year.
