Assistant Manager - Wholesale Trade (NOC 60020) Job

Oakel City Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Wholesale Trade to support the daily operations of our wholesale flooring business.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, directing, and evaluating the daily operations of the wholesale flooring business to ensure efficient sales and distribution activities.
• Analyze flooring market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and develop effective marketing and sales strategies to expand the customer base.
• Assist in determining flooring product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability.
• Source flooring products and materials, negotiate pricing and purchasing terms with suppliers, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Assist in preparing operating budgets, monitoring sales performance, controlling operating expenses, and optimizing inventory levels.
• Ensure excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Oversee inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels and support efficient order fulfillment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety standards, and applicable regulations related to wholesale operations.
• Supervise sales and warehouse staff, assign duties, and provide training and coaching to maintain an efficient work environment.
• Assist with recruitment, on boarding, performance reviews, and employee development.

• College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in wholesale or retail sales, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation, customer service, and relationship management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
