Job Title: Assistant Manager – Retail
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (35–40 hours per week)
Hourly Wage: $46.15/hour
Start Date: As soon as possible

Languages: English
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory or management role in retail or a related field

Job Responsibilities:

- Plan, direct, and evaluate the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Establish and implement store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Determine merchandise mix, product assortment, and services to be offered based on consumer demand and store performance.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales.
- Manage staff by recruiting, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating team members.
- Set performance goals for staff, monitor productivity, and conduct performance reviews.
- Oversee inventory management including ordering, stock control, shrinkage prevention, and vendor coordination.
- Manage store budgets, monitor financial performance, and analyze revenues and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Study market research, competitor activity, and industry trends to support business planning and product positioning.
- Address and resolve customer issues, service concerns, and operational challenges to maintain excellent customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management.
- Lead and support store initiatives aimed at achieving sales targets and overall business growth.
