Job Duties and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, the successful candidate will support the overall management of restaurant operations and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning, including:
• Assist in supervising and coordinating front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and adherence to company standards
• Support the implementation of daily operational plans, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and workflow coordination
• Monitor staff performance during shifts, provide guidance, and assist with training new employees
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met during all operating hours
• Assist in maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations
• Support inventory control processes, including monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, and minimizing waste
• Address customer inquiries and resolve service issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Assist in cash handling procedures, including balancing tills, verifying transactions, and following internal controls
• Support the preparation of basic reports related to sales, labour, and inventory usage
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to implement operational improvements and cost control measures
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed, including cleanliness, security, and readiness for service
• Promote a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork, accountability, and consistent communication among staff

Employment Requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food service or hospitality
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role in a restaurant setting is required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to support team management and maintain operational standards
