CUMULUS | Modesto & Stockton CA currently features 8 stations in the area and surrounding counties. Our market leading stations include: Country 103.3 KATM; Classic Rock KDJK 103.9; Classic Rock KHKK 104.1; Sports KESP 970; Hot AC KHOP 95.1; Adult Contemporary KJOY 99.3; and Rhythmic CHR KWIN 97.7 and Rhythmic CHR KWNN 98.3. The cluster of 8 stations reaches hundreds of thousands of listeners every day. In addition, we reach the entire country with a suite of digital products.
The assistant engineer assists the Engineering Managers with the installation, maintenance/repair of studio equipment, transmitting and ancillary equipment in order to maintain competitive signals in the market while complying with all FCC technical requirements. Includes; assisting with telecommunications, computer and networking systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to Engineering Manager.
- Follows routine maintenance procedures and schedules for 10 broadcast sites
- Maintains station operation through preventative and corrective maintenance
- Maintains station vehicle fleet by scheduling and tracking maintenance and maintaining vehicle to set standards.
- Setups up remote broadcasts for off-site broadcasts
- Tracks, maintains and organizes all equipment used in remote broadcasts.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience working with power tools.
- Excellent punctuality.
- May be required to lift 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft 365)
- Must work in an organized fashion and be able to prioritize.
- Interact with management and staff at all levels in a professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must possess valid state driver's license, pass motor vehicle records check and provide required proof of personal vehicle insurance

- An expected salary in the range of $38,400 - $48,000
