Job Description:
• Diagnose production processes and establish improvement plans to enhance efficiency and productivity in lithium-ion battery cell assembly operations;
• Identify equipment issues and perform rapid troubleshooting to minimize interruptions to mass production operations;
• Conduct equipment modifications and improvements, including implementing necessary changes to support stable and efficient assembly operations;
• Track and analyze production yield and downtime data and respond immediately to identified issues affecting line performance;
• Identify potential improvements in the cell assembly process and execute actions to maximize overall operational performance;
• Improve production yield through continuous response to mass production issues and implementation of corrective and preventive process improvements;
• Improve overall equipment effectiveness by reducing equipment downtime and increasing equipment utilization rates through targeted improvement activities;
• Lead mold and tool change projects for new product transitions, managing the full changeover workflow from preparation through completion;
• Manage equipment setup activities for product transitions, including preparing equipment inputs and setting up equipment based on tool change part specifications;
• Coordinate ramp up activities during initial mass production stages for transitioned products and secure production stability through process inspections;
• Support customer audit responses for transitioned products and complete required actions to obtain customer approval for mass production suitability;
• Analyze tact time and identify bottleneck processes, then execute operation logic changes and delay time analyses to improve operation rates; and
• Analyze fixed loss times and implement improvements to maximize equipment operation efficiency, then standardize validated improvements and establish related work standards.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related field of study;
• Experience supporting automated production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment;
• Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Total Analysis Systems (TAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools to analyze production, equipment, yield, quality, and downtime data;
• Experience with process optimization, yield improvement, downtime reduction, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions; and
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production, equipment, process, system, or data issues.
