Job Description:
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment used in the EV battery cell assembly production line and support operational improvements to enhance production stability and efficiency;
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, including daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections, to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and continuous production efficiency;
• Conduct technical analysis of equipment downtime and failures using maintenance data and performance indicators to identify root causes and implement corrective measures that improve production line stability;
• Monitor equipment performance metrics and support operational improvements aimed at enhancing manufacturing yield, equipment utilization, and overall production efficiency;
• Serve as the Person-in-Charge (PIC) for the Equipment Management System used across SK Battery manufacturing facilities, overseeing system administration, maintenance tracking, and operational compliance;
• Manage equipment spare parts inventory, including tracking usage, coordinating procurement, and maintaining stock levels of critical components to prevent production interruptions;
• Operate, program, and maintain automated robotic systems used in the EV battery assembly production line, including multi-axis industrial robots such as KUKA systems;
• Collaborate with production engineers, technicians, and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions addressing equipment-related issues affecting product quality and production performance;
• Develop and update standard operating procedures and technical documentation related to equipment maintenance and operational processes for use by technicians and engineers;
• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting methods to ensure safe and efficient production line operations;
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study;
• Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment within a production environment;
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility;
• Familiarity with industrial robotic systems, including programming or operating robotic automation systems such as KUKA robots; and
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify equipment failures and improve operational efficiency.
