Position Info:
• Position: Daycare Supervisor
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $37.00/hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 6344 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5E 2V4

Benefits:
• 14 days of paid vacation per year
• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:
• Design, develop, and implement child-care programs that foster and enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children
• Supervise and provide guidance to staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery
• Participate in staff meetings to review children’s progress, address challenges, and develop strategies to support their overall development
• Discuss children’s progress, developmental needs, and challenges during staff meetings to develop effective support strategies
• Plan, establish, and maintain a safe and nurturing environment that safeguards the health, security, and well-being of children
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of early childhood educators and assistants to ensure high-quality program delivery
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning, cleanliness, and safety of daycare equipment
• Establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers

Job requirements:
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a related field is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
