Title of the Position: Architectural Technologist
Main duties:
• Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD)
• Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD)
• Analyze technical documents and reports
• Assist in supervising construction projects
• Prepare working drawings
• Estimate costs and materials
• Construct architectural and display models
• Assist in design development
• Prepare presentation graphics and drawings
• Analyze user's requirements, and design and develop system architecture and specifications
• Conduct research into cost, properties of production materials and methods of production
• Analyze the intended use of products and user preferences
• Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers
• Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements
• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
• All other relevant tasks
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time (30 hrs per week)

Job Requirements:
• 3 years of relevant experience with specialized proficiency in AutoCAD and other Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software;
• Familiarity with Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) and its implications for structures and mechanical systems is important;
• Additional software: SketchUp, MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Loop), Click-Up;
• LEED Certification is preferred, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices;
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required;
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail;
• Highly organized and able to work as a team player.
