We are seeking a motivated and skilled full time Architectural Designer/Technologist to join our design team in Vancouver, BC. Our works involve in residential, mixed used apartments, residential high-rise, wood frame construction and mass timber construction.
Job Description
• Provide technical and presentation drawings for rezoning applications, design development, working drawings, and construction documents.
• Assist the project architect with building code and zoning compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with other consultant teams.
• Produce 3D models and visualizations for project presentations.
• Prepare technical drawings, material research, and product specifications for Mass Timber projects in design development, development permits, and building applications.
• Provide support during the construction administration phase.

• Completion of a two- to three-year college program in architectural technology or a related field is required.
• A minimum of two years of local Canadian experience in architectural practice is preferred.
• Proven experience in Mass Timber construction projects, including detail design, construction documentation, code compliance, material research, and specifications, is strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Mass Timber construction methods, building systems, and building envelope design.
• Familiarity with the 2024 British Columbia Building Code (BCBC) is considered an asset.
• Experience in residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Autodesk software, BIM tools, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp is required.
• Expertise in photorealistic rendering using Enscape and V-Ray is required.
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
