Responsibilities
Tasks
• Analyze data and prepare reports
• Conduct field research and surveys to collect data and samples
• Supervise staff
• Apply medicinal substances to control and prevent diseases
• Train staff
• Collect and record data
• Determine food requirements and structure feeding regimes
• Incorporate biosecurity measures into daily operation
• Co-ordinate selection and maintenance of brood stock
• Monitor environment and maintain optimum conditions
• Identify diseases or parasites
• Manage and train aquaculture and fish hatchery support workers and supervise technicians and technologists
• Establish inventory and quality control methods
