Applications Engineer EDM Job

Design, plan, and coordinate the integration of Makino electric discharge machine (EDM) equipment including wire EDMs, sinker EDMs, fine hole EDMs, and micro wire EDMs and processes to deliver production solutions for a customer's manufacturing process; support sales engineers with technical requirements; analyze customer requirements, Makino EDM machines, and peripheral technology to recommend and implement production application solutions; assist in the installation process; train users on utilizing Makino’s EDMs in their production operations, and provide ongoing customer application assistance and recommendations.

Requirements – Associates or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in the installation and servicing of wire EDMs, sinker EDMs, fine hole EDMs, and micro wire EDMs. Approximately 50% of time is visiting customers on-site in the U.S. Worksite location: 2600 Superior Court, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
