Application Analyst – Health Information Management (HIM) Coding & Solventum/3M
Our client is seeking a skilled Application Analyst with expertise in Solventum/3M HIM coding solutions to support and optimize critical health information management systems. This role is ideal for a candidate who brings strong analytical capabilities, experience in live healthcare environments, and a proven ability to enhance coding and documentation workflows. This is a fully remote opportunity.
Position Overview
The Application Analyst will support and maintain HIM coding and abstracting applications, ensuring system stability, accuracy, and efficiency. This individual will partner with clinical, coding, and IT teams to improve workflows, support system upgrades, and contribute to ongoing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Solventum/3M HIM applications in a production healthcare environment
• Analyze and improve coding, abstracting, and CDI workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with HIM, clinical, and IT stakeholders to support system enhancements and operational needs
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities
• Monitor system performance and resolve application issues impacting coding and documentation processes
• Maintain and update system documentation, workflows, and procedures
• Support integrations between HIM systems and other enterprise applications
• Ensure data integrity and compliance across coding and abstracting systems
Required Qualifications
• 5–7 years of experience supporting Solventum/3M HIM applications
• Proven success supporting applications in live production healthcare environments
• Strong understanding of:
o Coding workflows
o Clinical documentation improvement (CDI) processes
o HIM data management and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues
