Job Description:
MAX Appliance Repair provides professional appliance repair and related services. We sell a wide range of used and open-box household appliances and provide appliance repair, installation, parts, delivery and disposal services.
As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Shop Supervisor to oversee appliance repair and service operations at our Barrie location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organize the daily work of appliance technicians and assign repair jobs.
• Review service requests and make sure repairs are completed on time.
• Oversee the testing and repair of appliances before they are returned to customers, delivered or offered for sale.
• Help technicians with difficult repairs and technical problems when needed.
• Work with sales, customer service, parts, installation and delivery staff to keep jobs moving smoothly.
• Check completed repairs to make sure appliances are working properly and meet company standards.
• Deal with repair delays and other work-related problems and suggest ways to improve the workflow.
• Make sure the shop has enough appliance parts, tools and repair supplies.
• Train and guide technicians on repair procedures and safe work practices.
• Keep records of repair work and assist management with staffing, training and employee performance matters.
REQUIREMENTS
• Completion of secondary school.
• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and repairing small electrical appliances and/or household appliances.
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical appliance systems, parts and repair procedures.
• Ability to organize and oversee the work of appliance repair technicians.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate in English.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Full-time, permanent position.
• $38.50 per hour.
• Minimum 30 hours per week.
• Occasional work at customer locations may be required.
• Occasional overtime may be required and will be paid in accordance with Ontario employment standards.
