Job Duties:
• Handling, feeding, and caring for honeybee colonies
• Assisting in the production of nucs and/or replacement hives, diagnose and treat hive health issues.
• Moving hives to and from pollination, collecting/extracting honey, as well as bee yard maintenance and the manufacture, assembly, and the maintenance of hive equipment
• Preparing bees and equipment for pollination activities, feeding bees
• Examine produce for quality and prepare for market
• Perform other farm duties as required.
Essential Skills: Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Continuous learning.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, rain/ shine, hot/cold weather (Candidate should be physically able and willing to work on the farm in rain/sun or shine)
