Position Info:
• Position: Infants’ Daycare Worker
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $24.00-25.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 999 Goldstream Ave, Victoria, BC V9A 2A8

Benefits:

• Extended Healthcare (after 3 months of employment)

Job Duties:
• Provide daily care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and assisting with nap routines, while ensuring comfort and safety at all times
• Support infants’ early development by engaging them in age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, singing, music, and simple physical play
• Encourage creativity and sensory exploration through art activities, music, and guided movement suitable for infants and young children
• Assist children with the development of basic self-care skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet routines, according to their developmental stage
• Observe infants closely for changes in behaviour, development, or well-being, and report any concerns to supervisors or parents as required
• Prepare light snacks and help set up rooms, cribs, and play areas for feeding, rest, and daily activities
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of daycare equipment, toys, and infant care areas in accordance with health and safety standards
• Help maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that supports the physical and emotional well-being of all children in care

Job requirements:
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Infant/Toddler Certificate (ECE Level 3)
• Language: English
