Job Duties:
• Operate aircraft safely and maintain professionalism at all times.
• Perform regular inspections of the aircraft, paying attention to factors including fuel, equipment, and aircraft navigation systems.
• Monitor weather conditions and communicate with air traffic controllers throughout the duration of the flight and stay in close communication with copilots and flight crew.
• Determine the safest routes when analyzing flight plans prior to takeoff.
• Anticipate potential issues and maintain professionalism when emergencies arise and remain up-to-date with aircraft advancements and equipment.
• Provide leadership to the First officer when in flight, reporting to the Chief Pilot.
• Maintain knowledge of, and abide by, the Canadian Aviation Regulations(CARs) and all other applicable professional standards, guidelines and agreements.

• No Transport Canada violations or suspensions

Additional Skills:
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with the Internet
• Good oral and written communication skills

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time.
Language of work: English
Wage: Annual salary of $130,000 CAD/year
Hours: 48 hours/week (12 hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off)

Where applicable, Carson Air is willing to provide and cover costs of training to a successful candidate, under the conditions of a signed training bond.
The training bond is signed upon hiring, applied at the employment start date, and covers a period of 24 months, from the completion of the training.

Education:
- Completion of secondary school and pilot training required.
- Must possess a valid commercial pilots' license.
- Must be willing to complete all required training, including ground training, simulator training, flight training and/or Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC) at start of employment.
- Must be able to meet minimum medical fitness as defined by international agreement through the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
- Must pass a criminal record check and medical examination.

Work Experience:
• Required: 5 years of experience as a pilot.
• Experience in medevac operations is considered an asset.
• Preferred - Minimum of 3000 hours on fixed wing aircraft, with 1000 hours as PIC
• Preferred - Minimum of 1000 hours of multi engine flight time, with 500 hours as PIC
• Preferred - Minimum of 100 hours on type, with 50 hours as PIC
• Preferred - Minimum of 500 hours of mountain flying experience
• Preferred - King Air 350 (BE30) Type rating
