Air Tool / Gearbox Service Technician Job

Norbar Torque Tools, a member of the Snap-on Incorporated family of companies, is seeking an Air Tool / Gearbox Service Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and calibration of air-powered tools and gearbox mechanisms. This position plays a key role in the ongoing operations of the Service Department and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and product performance standards. The role is part of a small, collaborative team and requires both independent and team-based work.

Diagnose and service power air tools and gearbox-related items

Perform calibrations and repairs in accordance with company procedures and quality standards

Prepare formal service estimates for customers

Maintain service records, customer contact information, and service history documentation

Generate and manage service department documentation

Provide support to other service department functions as needed

Occasionally interact in person with customers, sales representatives, and management

High school diploma or equivalent

Solid mechanical aptitude and proven hands-on technical ability

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general Windows-based business systems

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a mechanical repair, calibration, or service-related role

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

Must be able to lift and handle tools and components weighing up to 50 pounds

Work involves standing, bending, and using hand tools for extended periods

Standard shop and office environment, with occasional customer interaction
