AI Architect Job

Job Summary:
We are seeking an AI Architect focused on generative and agentic AI to develop, deploy, and maintain AI applications, MCP servers, and LLM infrastructure supporting the agency's AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and test agentic AI tools using Python; assist with system architecture
• Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for AI application integration
• Deploy, operate, and maintain AI applications (mostly Docker containers) in production
• Assist with deployment/maintenance of LLMs using vLLM in Docker environments
• Maintain Open WebUI instances and provide ongoing application support
• Develop documentation and training materials; deliver in-person/recorded training sessions
• Maintain Medicaid AI knowledge bases for RAG
• Assist with server admin tasks, AI model testing/fine-tuning, and infrastructure monitoring
• Work with Information Security Office to resolve code/Docker vulnerabilities; ensure HIPAA compliance
• Participate in agile processes and maintain version control via Git/Azure DevOps

Required Skills & Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Experienced non-manager level
• Proficiency in Python for AI application development
• Experience with Docker containerized environments
• Experience with MCP servers and LLM deployment (vLLM)
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, and version control practices
• Understanding of security vulnerability review and HIPAA compliance

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• Experience with Open WebUI configuration and maintenance
• Server administration and AI model fine-tuning experience
• Agile development experience

Scheduling:
• Location: Montgomery, AL (100% Onsite)
• Duration: 11 Months (Contract, possible extension)
• Hours: 40 hrs/week
