Position: Administrative Assistant- Medical
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Employment Requirements:
• Secondary School completion
• Relevant Experience: 7 months to less than a year will be an asset.
Duties:
• Manage day to day functions of the office and follow clinic policies;
• Answering calls and queries from new and existing patients and other clients in a
professional, effective and efficient manner;
• Make sure patients are well served;
• Using our Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) to register patients, scheduling
appointments and meetings, maximizing physician’s schedule utilization;
• Prepare patients appropriately before physician see them;
• Sending referrals, creating complete patient charts and maintaining patient charts;
• Order supplies and maintain inventory;
• Prepare billing and invoices;
• Following up with patients to ensure continuity;
• Accurate filing of documents and record keeping in a timely manner;
• Operating fax/copy/scan/print machine and computers;
• Build and maintain an effective dialogue/communication with all patients, physicians,
employees, suppliers, pharmacies and consultants;
• Train and supervise other office staffs as needed.
