Job Duties:
1.Assess clients’ health histories, medical conditions, symptoms, and treatment needs to determine appropriate acupuncture treatment approaches.
2.Develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans based on clients’ conditions and assessment results, including the selection of specific acupuncture points, treatment techniques, and session frequency.
3.Perform acupuncture procedures by inserting sterile needles into designated acupuncture points and applying appropriate techniques, including electrical stimulation, heat therapy, cupping, and acupressure.
4.Monitor clients’ responses to acupuncture treatments, evaluate treatment progress and outcomes, and adjust acupuncture points, techniques, and treatment plans as necessary.
5.Explain acupuncture procedures, treatment principles, expected outcomes, and aftercare instructions to clients, and provide appropriate recommendations regarding lifestyle, diet, exercise, and other complementary practices.
6.Communicate with clients throughout treatment sessions to assess their comfort, respond to questions and concerns, and obtain feedback regarding their treatment experience and progress.
7.Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment environment by following applicable infection prevention, sterilization, hygiene, and occupational health and safety procedures.
8.Maintain current knowledge of acupuncture practices, treatment techniques, research, and professional developments through continuing education, training, and professional resources.
9.Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential client records, including health assessments, treatment plans, acupuncture points and techniques used, treatment outcomes, client responses, and changes to treatment plans.

Job Requirements:
1)Completion of at lease College Diploma or formal training program in acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, or a related field is required.
2)Practical experience, clinical training, or internship experience in acupuncture is considered an asset.
3)Registration or eligibility for registration with the applicable provincial regulatory body is required.
4)Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and a client-centred approach when providing acupuncture care and support.
5)Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively discuss clients’ symptoms, treatment concerns, expectations, and progress.
6)Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans based on clients’ health conditions and treatment needs.
7)High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and respect for clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
