Job Description:

· Title: Acupressure Therapist

· NOC: 32209

· Vacancy: 2 positions

· Location: 128 – 7080 River Road, Richmond, BC V6X 1X5

· Compensation: $30/hour

· Hours: 30 hours/week

· Benefits: 10-day paid vacations

Responsibilities:

· Identifying troublesome areas of tension, pain, or discomfort.

· Diagnosing patient ailments like allergies and muscle strains, and providing treatment for minor injuries.

· Creating customized acupressure treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and circumstances.

· Manipulating or applying pressure to different body parts, hands, and feet.

· Administering treatment through acupuncture needle insertion or stimulation techniques.

· Educating clients on acupressure principles and potential benefits.

· Offering guidance on self-care techniques and exercises to complement treatment efficacy.

· Maintaining precise and confidential client records encompassing health histories, treatment strategies, and progress reports.

· Ensuring effective communication with clients to establish a secure and welcoming therapeutic setting.

· Remaining updated on the latest advancements in acupressure and related fields.

· Offering diverse forms of alternative healthcare services to patients.

· Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

· Completion of a recognized training program in acupressure or a related field.

· Relevant experience is asset.

· Basic English communication skill is required.
