Accounting Manager Job

Four Square Accounting Corp. is a growing, client-focused firm providing bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services to small and medium-sized businesses throughout British Columbia. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and enhance the quality and efficiency of our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a team of staff accountants, bookkeepers, and accounts payable/receivable clerks
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members
- Manage or assist with GST/HST filings, payroll taxes, T4s, T5s, and corporate tax submissions
- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently

Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with public practice experience preferred
- CPA designation or actively pursuing designation is a strong asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian tax laws and compliance requirements
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, or similar platforms
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities
