Accommodation Manager Job

1282956 B.C. LTD. operating as Rentals Okanagan is looking for one Accommodation Manager (NOC 60031) to join our team and manage our short-term accommodation operations.

Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: Postsecondary education in hospitality, hotel management, business administration, management or a related field is preferred. Applicants with relevant accommodation industry experience and demonstrated supervisory skills is required.
Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in hotels, resorts or other accommodation businesses is required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; attention to detail; handling multiple priorities.
Personal suitability: Organized, reliable and client-focused, with sound judgement, effective communication and team leadership skills.

Job Duties:
• Oversee day-to-day operations across the company's short-term rental accommodations, making sure properties are ready for arrivals and guest services run smoothly.
• Establish practical procedures for property inspections, room turnover and guest service; review results and improve how the team works.
• Hire and support staff, arrange training and work schedules, and provide feedback on performance.
• Develop operating budgets with the owners, track accommodation revenue and operating costs, and report on business performance.
• Review booking trends and guest feedback, and work with the owners on nightly rates, seasonal offers and ways to attract bookings.
• Compare supplier offers, negotiate prices and terms, and oversee purchasing and stock levels for cleaning and guest supplies.
• Arrange repairs and preventive maintenance with employees and service providers, following up to ensure properties remain ready for guests.
• Handle guest concerns, find practical solutions and coordinate with booking and property service staff to prevent recurring problems.
Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time position
Salary: CAD $39.22 per hour
Benefits: Vacation and statutory benefits in accordance with British Columbia employment standards.
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
