Consult clients to determine the general style, visual components, and text of
communications materials to ensure they are meeting their needs.
- Choose the media that will best provide the required visual effect and the most suitable
communication vehicle.
- Create the visual components that satisfy the goals of the clients.
- Create layouts, designs, and visual components for the subjects that will be generated
utilizing conventional instruments, multimedia applications, and image processing, layout,
and design software.
- Calculate the time and material costs needed to finish the graphic design.
- To create visuals that satisfy clients' communication objectives, use already-existing
photo and illustration banks and typography guides, or employ a photographer or
illustrator.
- Provide rules for photographers or illustrators.
- Oversee the production of all printed, audiovisual, and electronic materials, including
websites.

$33 / hr 40 hours per week

Estimate costs of materials and time to complete graphic designs and illustrations
Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations in order to meet their communications needs
Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations
Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials
Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements
