Rocha’s Construction Ltd. is looking for 1 permanent F/T Concrete Finisher for its busy construction company to work in its operations in Calgary and its surroundings areas in Alberta.

Rocha Construction prefers candidates with (3) years of experience as a skilled concrete finisher in the commercial and industrial setting; less experience will be considered upon demonstration of skills. The company is committed to hiring a candidate willing to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, repetitive work, and energetic environment. Flexible and willing to work shifts. Candidate must possess a clean criminal record. No education required. Language of work: English.
Salary compensation 37.50/hr. for 40 hours per week.

Duties include:
• Place, finish, protect, and repair concrete.
• Set concrete forms ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch.
• Smooth concrete surfaces, eliminating high spots and filling hollows on the freshly poured concrete.
• Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Give the concrete surfaces the desired finish using hand and power tools.
• Waterproof, damp-proof, and restore concrete surfaces.
• Application of hardening and sealing compounds to concrete surfaces.
