Medical Office Manager (Full Time), May 2006 - Present
Oversee front, back and billing office. Hire, train, counsel and evaluate employees. Complete payroll and monitor staff hours. Handle customer service issues. Manage the facilities appearance, maintenance and upkeep. Assist physician in non-medical functions such as; coordinating meetings and making reservations. Monitor physician schedule on a daily basis to ensure optimum scheduling. Handle the tasks of preparing agendas and organizing office meetings. Oversee that patients are called for daily appointment reminders and return to clinic dates. Fill in as needed to cover the tasks ordinarily performed by administrative and clinical staff. Physician and nurse practitioners hospital credentialing. Serve as liaison for patents and outside professionals. Marketing for the practice. Order office supplies and perform monthly inventory. Policy and program development for the office which includes OSHA, HIPPA, and CLIA compliance. Telephone triage, inpatient and outpatient surgeries and patient referrals. Post payments, follow up on claims with insurance companies, collect co-pays and balances, complete insurance forms, insurance verification, pre-certifications, financial counseling and create payment plans. Download dictation and retrieval. Medical transcription for doctor as needed. EMR: eClinical Works and Pace Art. Billing system: Pulse Systems. Programs: QuickBooks, WaspTime and Inventory Control, Dragon Dictation, Label RX, Olympus Dictaphone, VoiceSent and eFact.

University of Phoenix in Dallas Texas
Associate Degree in Health Care Administration, November 2008
Trained in organizational management, business communication, leadership/supervision, project management, human resource management, office/computer systems, critical analysis and interpersonal relations.
