Surgery Scheduling Coordinator,
Supervisor

Schedule inpatient/outpatient surgical
procedures for Orthopaedic, Podiatrist,
and Neurology Surgeons, also intake for
new patient referrals for office or
surgical consultations

Communicating with Patient’s and family
member to coordinate date for surgical
procedure. Scheduling pre-op or any
other diagnostic test needed for patient
to clear for surgery

Meet with Home Health, medical
equipment, and other healthcare vendors
for potential referrals and placing
orders for surgical equipment

Review/approve clinic/surgery schedule
for all IMG Physicians

Input surgery date/procedure into
Advantx, type surgery reservation for
Six Corners Same Day Surgery Staff,
prepare surgical packet with all
necessary forms, signed consents, work
comp approvals, predeterminations and
insurance information for all
appropriate departments

Schedule pain management, and home
healthcare visits post-op for out
patient surgeries, also coordinate
inpatient admissions and transport to
Nursing Home/Rehab Facilities for open
procedure done within the ASC

Communicate with primary care, and other
Physicians and healthcare facilities for
medical records, pre-op testing results,
and pre-op medical clearance

Review Patient’s chart for current
medical history, updated labs, x-rays,
EMG/NCVS results, MRI reports, and all
other diagnostic test results for clinic
follow up visit
Preparing/filing physician & facility
liens with Patient’s Attorneys,
conversing with workman’s compensation
and auto insurance Adjusters for claim
information and pre-auth/pre-
certification purposes, as well as
verifying benefits for private
healthcare insurances
