Objective: Seeking a front desk position in a successful office where strong organizational skills and a willingness to help others will be used effectively each day.
Experience:
•Answer phones and directed calls to appropriate staff. •Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word Processing, spreadsheet, or other software applications to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, or medical records. •Supervise the work of office, administrative, or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. •Transmit correspondence or records by mail, e-mail, and fax. •Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. •Maintain medical records, payments, and correspondence files. •Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided. •Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff. •Process and write patient and insurance (commercial and federal) refunds. •Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained. •Enter data, such as demographics, insurance, and diagnostic procedures into computer. •Release information to persons or agencies according to regulations. •Retrieve patient medical records for physicians, technicians, or other medical personnel. •Complete insurance or other claim forms.

Skills: Through my work as a medical billing representative, I entered patient demographics and charges daily. I would answer phones on a multi-line system answering questions for patients and vendors alike. Wrote and sent letters to patients, vendors, and doctors. As a team leader, I would use spread sheets and other word programs to track payments and billing clients and patients. When needed, I would talk to TTY operators and/or use sign language to communicate with deaf or hard of hearing patients. I also have experience with Quicken programs, Quadax, and Vital Works.
