ACHIEVEMENTS

• 2010 Commissioned to write a book about the enduring human spirit. This is a non-fiction and fiction story about the people of The Crow Creek Indian Reservation in Ft. Thompson, South Dakota and my family’s involvement. It is a three year project. A novel by David Lamb “Beasts of Prey™” due out in 2013.
• 2008 Developed an Organizational Structure for Long Term Care Facilities, including Strategic Business and Marketing Plans. Eagle Healthcare Inc. standardized and implemented this in all their facilities; (Eagle Healthcare Productivity Enhancement Project). This program had been developed and has evolved over an eight year period (2000–2008). This program focuses on four Key Result Areas: 1. The Customer as it relates to Revenue Enhancement, 2. Operations, 3. Clinical Programs, and 4. Human Resource Development.
• 2006 Developed a “True” QI/QM CQI Program in a Monthly Audit Format based on the QIS Survey System as part of a QA Program. It is an evidenced based and outcome oriented program that has been successfully validated.
• 1987 Named to the Board of The Validation Institute under the direction of Naomi Feil MSW, ACSW.
• Co-Authored an education curriculum to teach the components of Quality of Life using Maslow’s Model. This became a Staff Education Model, “The Quality of Life Model.”
• 1985 Developed the Low Stimulus Dementia Unit, the first of its type in the United States. Structured after a facility in Austria. A Low-stress environment for those with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Received national recognition. Articles appeared in the Fargo Forum, and The Wall Street Journal.
