RE: Sales Executive Business Development
________________________________________

Dear Recruiter,

My name is Jeff Fadness, and I'm interested in learning more about any positions you may have available for a Sales Professional based in Austin, TX.

I have been involved in sales, marketing, and business ownership, development and operations since 1976. As a sales representative, I was always at a minimum in the top 10% of corporate producers, and have sold products ranging from low-tech services to individual homeowners, to high-tech, high value printing machinery systems costing several million dollars each to corporate clients internationally.

In 1987, I left the company I was working for and started a used equipment brokerage business in the same industry. Within a few years, I negotiated and acquired a new line of machinery as an exclusive manufacturer's representative to the U.S. market. Within ten years of founding that company, the manufacturer's machinery we began representing in 1991, grew from less than 1% market share to the leader in the U.S. market with 60%+ market share; exceeding the combined sales of all other U.S., German, and Japanese manufactured products in our industry. Similarly, in the niche industry we served, our used equipment brokerage business was also the market leader. By the late 90's, the small company I had founded in the basement of my home grew in sales to a peak of ~$28 million dollars in annual sales.

I believe I may be uniquely qualified for the position you seek to fill. At the heart of what I believe may qualify me is a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and a great deal of business experience with corporate leaders and business owners, in helping them to identify, understand and quantify profit opportunities, resulting in a track record of years of successful sales results. And as a business owner, I was one of the few people in a million that demonstrated the drive, determination and ingenuity in the creation of a multi-million dollar, market-leading company within the target industry we served.

I appreciate your consideration and look forward to further exploring our mutual interests.

Respectfully yours,

Jeff M. Fadness
