Objective:
I am seeking a position in which I may utilize my office organizational and interpersonal skills to enhance the environment and increase productivity.


Experience:
I have been a secretary for twenty plus years, 12 of which, in an intermediate unit. My responsibilities are diverse as I have been assigned to several different departments within the IU to assist new supervisors and directors in transitioning into their new positions. My responsibilities required me to keep updated contact information throughout the county including 15 school districts with 95 plus schools. Serving in this capacity has perfected my organizational skills and strongly strengthened my customer relation and communication skills; enabling me to develop a rap ore with the client, while establishing a relationship of trust and dependability, with the assurance that their needs will be met.
My main responsibility has been to the Director of the Professional Development and Curriculum Department. I am considered to be accurate, efficient and confidential. I am entrusted with highly sensitive information of students, faculty and administrators.
I have had previous experience as a secretary to a large board of trustees, where I was required to perform all office duties including manual payroll for 30 employees, accounts payable and receivable and many other clerical and secretarial duties. I type over 105wpm and I am proficient in many software programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Pentamation, Dr. Chart and others. I have a professional and articulate speaking voice on the telephone and in person and I am tactful and diplomatic to individuals I encounter throughout the day. If I cannot assist someone immediately, I will find the person to whom they should be directed.
I feel I present as a highly qualified assistant and I am well-suited for this or any position that will utilize my organization skills and challenge me professionally to provide quality and accuracy on behalf of my employer.
I hope to be considered as a serious candidate for a secretarial position and I look forward to hearing from a representative in the very near future.
