I am the past President and General Manager of a Yacht Club in Miami Beach, Florida. I accepted employment when the marina was purchased from the previous owner. We then formed an equity membership yacht club and completely renovated the existing docks and the entire infrastructure necessary to have a modern and profitable marina. Since then I have implemented all the necessary policies, procedures, accounting systems, computer systems and operational controls needed to properly manage a marina in an efficiently and profitable manner. We have now turned the Yacht Club over to the members.
I am a graduate of the International Marina Institute's, “Advanced Marina Management School," and have received my designation as “Certified Marina Manager", one of 200+ in the Marina industry worldwide.
As you can see from the enclosed biographical sketch, I have been in the Marine Industry most of my life. While employed as a Yacht Captain, I cruised the entire East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas, and most of the Caribbean. From this experience I feel I know the needs and requirements of cruising Yachtsmen and their Crews.
One of my greatest strengths is in organizational systems and procedures. I am always looking at new ways to accomplish my goals and enjoy working with deadlines and budgets. My concern for people and strong communication skills make me an effective mentor and developer of employees.
Also Enclosed is a list of courses and seminars I have participated in over the last few years in pursuit of continual professional development.
If you have any questions or would like to visit, please contact me at your convenience.

Sincerely,
Clay Huntress, Certified Marina Manager (CMM)
